Omega-3s protect against UV

Scientific research suggest that n3-PUFAs have photoprotective potential. In this 2011 article these mechanisms are explained.

The biological actions of n-3 PUFA are discussed in the context of skin protection from acute and chronic UVR overexposure and describe how technologies such as nutrigenomics and lipidomics assist our understanding of the contribution of such nutrients to skin health.
